The Achievement Balance Mission Statement is to encourage, nurture, and grow the potential within autistic children – one child, one family, and one community at a time.

But what are some of the ways we are working towards our mission statement? What Autism services are available in DFW? And what’s available near you?

Achievement Balance wants to ensure that our services reflect the needs of our communities, which is why we specialize in a wide range of therapy techniques and offer many Autism therapy services – because your little one, and your family, are unique, so your treatment plan should be as well.

From video therapy to play therapy, home, and community services to sessions in one of our five locations, we strive to be the very best for you and your family and meet you where you are at.

If you are searching for Autism services in DFW, then see if any of our services below match the needs of your family.

And if you do not find the right fit, let us know, so we can make it right and make sure your child gets the tools they need to grow.

Autism Therapy Services at Achievement Balance

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy

ABA Therapy is one of the most effective ways we teach children on the spectrum because it is as individualized and unique as they are.

We have each of our children assessed by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and through this, along with evaluations and interviews with you, the caregiver, our BCBA will create an ABA treatment plan, which we will then discuss and explain to you and your family.

This is a team effort, and you will be informed and consulted every step of the way.

Speech Therapy

Maybe you have a difficult time communicating with your child, and as ASD is a spectrum, the difficulties regarding language and speech vary depending on the child.

Achievement Balance’ speech therapy looks to help bridge this gap and help families communicate through expressive language, speech sound production, augmentative communication, literacy social language, and more.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is helpful in assisting children with negative thought patterns to get ‘unstuck’ from these patterns. CBT is used for a variety of therapeutic reasons, from anxiety to depression to social understanding.

Through the practice of CBT, we create structured and goal-oriented behaviors by challenging those negative thought patterns and replacing them with more realistic and positive ones.

Because CBT deals with negative and harmful thought patterns, and each child’s thoughts and actions are different, there is no one CBT track for our families, instead, each is individualized to ensure the treatments translate well in your home.

Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy

These therapies are used to help your child gain independence and self-confidence.

Our exercises might be geared towards helping fine motor skills like handwriting, or they might lean more toward organizational skills or social interaction skills.

Regardless of the specific goals your family and child have, physical or occupational therapy from Achievement Balance can be tailored to meet your needs and promote confidence and self-sufficiency.

Autism Camp, Home & Community Services Through ABC

Autism Camp at Achievement Balance

If your child needs a fun and educational daytime environment while you are at work, then one of ABC’s Autism day camps might be the perfect solution.

Our camps go from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm and span preschool age through school-aged children. These are not just school-year camps either, but run all year long, so your child can join at any time, instead of waiting for enrollment periods only at certain times of the year.

These camps can be a great way to learn in a safe, understanding and nurturing environment, with trained professionals who will help your child reach their highest potential, with skills like:

  • Handwriting
  • Social Skills
  • Sportsmanship
  • Self-Regulation
  • Pragmatic Thinking
  • Flexible Thinking

Home & Community Autism Services

If you and your child would rather have home services instead of coming to one of our locations or an Autism day camp, then our newest program could be right for you.

Our community needed in-home services, so Achievement Balance listened, and started going out into the community to help families and children grow in the best ways possible.

If your child needs assistance with language, communication, motor skills, feeding, toileting, or alternatives to challenging behaviors, then one of our behavior technicians can come to your home and conduct therapy without you ever having to leave.

No travel time, no meltdown car rides.

And the service is as flexible and individualized as you are, with services ranging from 30 hours of therapy a week, all the way down to 6 hours a week, or even parent-only programs with no weekly therapy sessions.
